CR Srinivasan has been strengthening the digital infrastructure required for India’s next phase of AI growth by expanding AI-ready data center capacity. In the last several months, he has led Digital Connexion’s efforts to build infrastructure capable of supporting high-density AI workloads, with the company’s Chennai data centre campus designed to meet the compute, reliability, and scalability requirements of enterprises, hyperscalers, and sovereign AI initiatives.

Since he took over, Digital Connexion has focused on enabling organisations to transition from AI experimentation to production-scale deployment through resilient, energy-efficient, and future-ready infrastructure. His work has contributed to building the foundational digital backbone needed to support India’s growing demand for AI, cloud, and data-intensive applications.

Srinivasan believes India’s AI competitiveness will ultimately depend on sovereign capabilities that extend beyond AI models to encompass infrastructure, compute, data, and highly skilled talent. In his view, building these foundational capabilities is essential for achieving long-term digital independence and establishing India as a global AI powerhouse.
