AIM 100: India's Most Influential People Shaping AI in 2026
Rajiv Memani
Chairman & CEO, EY India

Within the past year, Rajiv Memani has played a defining role in shaping India’s AI agenda across both industry and policy. As Chairman and CEO of EY India and President of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), he has championed AI as a key driver of India’s long-term economic competitiveness.
Since he took over, EY released research estimating generative AI’s impact on productivity, employment and GDP, while significantly expanding the firm’s AI advisory and transformation practice across industries.
Memani has consistently advocated a whole-of-ecosystem approach to AI, stressing that India must simultaneously invest in talent, digital infrastructure, research and enterprise adoption. He has called for stronger collaboration between industry, academia and government to prepare the workforce for an AI-led economy. His vision extends beyond AI adoption, focusing on building institutions and capabilities that can position India as a global AI innovation hub over the coming decade.
