Ankit Saraiya

Ankit Saraiya is the Director and CEO of Techno Digital, the digital infrastructure business of Techno Electric and Engineering. A second-generation entrepreneur, he is leading the company’s expansion into data centres, cloud, connectivity, and digital infrastructure services. A finance graduate from Bentley University in the United States, Saraiya has been instrumental in diversifying the group beyond its traditional power infrastructure business and into emerging technology-driven sectors.

Drawing on Techno Electric’s long-standing expertise in power and transmission infrastructure, Saraiya has focused on building a data centre platform that integrates energy availability, connectivity, and compute capacity. His approach emphasises aligning data centre development with power infrastructure and grid readiness, reflecting the increasing power requirements of cloud and AI workloads.

Under his leadership, Techno Digital has announced plans to invest approximately $1 billion to develop 250 MW of data centre capacity across key markets, including Chennai, Noida, and Kolkata. The company is also developing a distributed network of edge data centres in partnership with RailTel to extend digital infrastructure beyond major metropolitan hubs.

Saraiya’s current priorities include expanding AI-ready infrastructure, improving energy efficiency, integrating sustainability into data centre operations, and building a nationwide platform that combines power, connectivity, and data centre capacity to support India’s growing digital economy.
