Ashish Arora

Ashish Arora is the Chief Executive Officer of Nxtra by Airtel, the data centre subsidiary of Bharti Airtel and one of India’s largest data centre operators. With over two decades of experience in telecom, IT, enterprise services, and digital infrastructure, he is responsible for driving Nxtra’s overall business strategy, expansion of hyperscale and edge data centre infrastructure, revenue growth, operational excellence, and customer experience.

Prior to leading Nxtra, he held several senior leadership positions within Airtel Business, including CEO–Global Business, CEO–Enterprise Business, and CEO–Key Segment. Earlier in his career, he also held leadership roles at Sify Technologies and HCL Technologies.

Since taking over as CEO in 2022, Arora has overseen Nxtra’s expansion as a key player in India’s digital infrastructure ecosystem, focusing on hyperscale data centres, edge facilities, sustainability, and AI-ready infrastructure. Under his leadership, the company has accelerated investments in renewable energy, automation, and next-generation data centre design to support growing demand from cloud providers, enterprises, and AI workloads.

Nxtra currently operates a nationwide network of large and edge data centres and is pursuing ambitious growth plans. In 2026, the company secured a $1 billion investment from global investors and Bharti Airtel to support capacity expansion toward gigawatt-scale infrastructure, reflecting the increasing demand for cloud, AI, and digital services in India.

Arora is widely recognised for combining commercial leadership with infrastructure execution, helping position Nxtra as a major enabler of India’s cloud, AI, and digital transformation ambitions.
