Musthaq Ahamad

Musthaq Ahamad is an AI Engineer and founder based in Bengaluru, currently building Sequel, an AI data analyst for modern teams. He was previously a senior software engineer at Composio, where he worked on agent infrastructure for agentic AI workflows, and a founding engineer at Locale.ai. Outside of work, he ships open-source developer tools.

Ahamad has worked on several projects focused on AI agents, developer infrastructure, and enterprise automation. One of his key projects is Sequel, an AI data analyst platform built around self-learning agents that connect directly to enterprise databases and data warehouses. The platform can understand both database schemas and how teams communicate internally about data, enabling users to ask business questions in natural language and receive validated answers with reasoning and auto-generated visualisations. 

Sequel supports cross-database querying across systems, including Postgres, MySQL, ClickHouse, BigQuery, and Snowflake, and offers MCP integration that allows external AI agents to query data through the platform. Its shared memory architecture enables responses to improve continuously as teams interact with the system.

At Composio, Ahamad contributed to the company’s developer platform and SDKs for AI agents. The platform allows AI agents to take actions across more than 1,000 applications while handling complex infrastructure challenges such as intent-based tool resolution, managed OAuth authentication lifecycles, context-aware agent sessions, sandboxed execution environments, and bidirectional triggers that keep agents synchronised with external applications.

He is working on building the human context layer for AI startups. His new startup is currently in stealth.
