Today, Meta revealed the date for ‘Meta Connect’—an upcoming event by Meta to announce its latest advancements in VR and AR. The platform announced that the event will be held virtually, and will commence at 10:00 am PT on October 11, 2022. Users will be able to watch the livestream on Reality Labs Facebook page.
In a Facebook post, CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the date of the event wearing a VR headset—hinting at the launch of the much-awaited VR headset code-named, ‘Project Cambria’.
The event is also expected to reveal updates on the Metaverse and the next era of social computing.

A successor to the Meta Quest 2, Project Cambria will be the centrepiece of the metaverse strategy.
Over the past couple of months, Meta has announced updates to its VR social platform, Horizon Worlds, including creator payments, bumping prices of existing VR headset models, and opening a physical store to demo the gadgets.
