The CEO of GitHub is always busy giving developers what they love. Thomas Dohmke has held this position since November 2021 and oversaw the launch of GitHub Copilot, one of developer’s favourite AI coding tools. On his visit to India, Dohmke showcased GitHub’s love for Indian developers by announcing several new releases for the Indic languages developers.

“Coding is as simple as the thoughts in your mind, and now you can see how natural language is the most powerful thing you have. You shouldn’t have to speak English to code, create, or participate in open source.” Dohmke also co-founded HockeyApp in 2011 and led the company as CEO until its acquisition by Microsoft.

Before his tenure at GitHub, Dohmke had a diverse career, including roles at Codenauts GmbH, where he developed mobile apps, and at MTV Networks Germany GmbH, where he worked as a backend developer. He also held positions at Robert Bosch GmbH and DaimlerChrysler, focusing on advanced driver assistance systems.
