At the FY-23 Q1 earnings call, Tech Mahindra revealed that they are building a culture of innovation and new service offerings, like metaverse, along with aiding the delivery of differentiated and more futuristic solutions.
Tech Mahindra Chief C P Gurnani states that the company is taking bold steps in developing some new capabilities, including 5G, Metaverse and the Makers Lab, that they successfully set up at 8 different locations. He further adds that Tech Mahindra would continue to invest in data and AI labs alongside sports tech verticals with platforms such as Fan, NXT.NOW, netOps.ai, and others.
Shedding light on the metaverse projects, Gurnani tells Analytics India Magazine that it is currently working on 60 metaverse projects globally. Of these, 25 projects are involved in ed-tech, while the remaining are in retail, automotive dealer management, repair and maintenance of cars, and other industries.
