Adani Enterprises Limited has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a 50 percent stake in Bengaluru-based General Aeronautics, the regulatory filings showed.
The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Adani Defense Systems and Technologies, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, will leverage General Aeronautics’ capabilities to provide end-to-end solutions for the domestic agricultural sector. The Bengaluru-based startup provides integrated design and development services for aircraft analysis and design, empowering civil and defence aerospace sectors to provide solutions for the agricultural sector from a system-level perspective.
General Aeronautics offers drone-based solutions for crop protection, crop health, precision-farming and yield monitoring. Precision farming using exponential technologies could address challenges in the agri sector such as fragmented landholdings, declining productivity, diminishing natural resources and climate change.
