Capgemini is collaborating with Bentley Motors to accelerate the luxury carmaker's digital transformation, leveraging data and AI to support Bentley's Beyond100+ strategy and modernise operations across its manufacturing and enterprise ecosystem.
As Bentley's digital transformation lead, Capgemini will provide the digital infrastructure and systems integration needed to modernise manufacturing technology systems and streamline back-office operations at Bentley's Dream Factory in Crewe.
The facility is being developed as a hub for hyper-personalised, digital, and sustainable luxury vehicle production.
The partnership also aims to strengthen Bentley's AI and data capabilities by establishing clearer data ownership, improving accountability, reducing operational complexity, and enabling faster decision-making across the business. Bentley expects the collaboration to improve operational efficiency, enhance employee adoption of digital tools, and remain agile in an increasingly competitive automotive market.
Under the agreement, Capgemini will support Bentley across several strategic areas, including advanced customer analytics powered by AI, modern IT service operations, enhanced data architecture, and enterprise-wide cost optimisation. The company will also help modernise manufacturing systems while creating the digital foundation for next-generation products and improved user experiences.
"Bentley Motors represents the pinnacle of British quality and manufacturing prowess, and we're delighted to be supporting them to transform its digital operations. The brand's legacy and ambitious vision offer exciting opportunities to drive innovation through data and AI, enabled by Capgemini's deep expertise in integrating and modernising complex enterprise and manufacturing systems at scale," Rob Pears, UK Head of Manufacturing, Automotive and Life Sciences at Capgemini, said in a statement.
Bentley views the partnership as a critical step in advancing its long-term digital ambitions as the company continues its transformation toward a more connected and intelligent manufacturing ecosystem.
"This transition marks an important step in Bentley's digital journey. With Capgemini, we are building a strategic relationship to support our long-term ambitions. The integration is progressing smoothly, and we're looking to the future with a shared commitment to quality and agility," said Axel Dewitz, Member of the Board for Finance and IT at Bentley Motors.
The collaboration comes as automotive manufacturers increasingly invest in AI-driven manufacturing, digital engineering, and data-led enterprise transformation to improve efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and support the industry's shift toward sustainable mobility.
