ClickHouse has appointed Ed Lenta as Vice President for Asia Pacific and Japan, part of a broader expansion of its global go-to-market leadership as the company scales to meet rising demand for real-time data infrastructure.
Lenta, based in Singapore, will lead sales and market expansion across APJ, focusing on adoption of ClickHouse Cloud and its open-source database among enterprises and public sector organisations.
He joins from Databricks, where he served as General Manager for APJ, overseeing operations across more than twenty countries. Earlier, he held roles at Amazon Web Services and VMware during their early growth phases in the region.
The company also named Takeshi Kaneko as Country Manager for Japan. Kaneko previously led Nutanix Japan and held senior roles at Red Hat and Microsoft in the country.
The APJ expansion is part of a wider buildout of ClickHouse’s global revenue organisation. The company has hired Billy Schoeffel as Vice President for Financial Services, Kenneth Melero for Public Sector, Maged Shehata for Global Solutions Architecture, and Andrew Straus for Revenue Strategy and Operations.
The expansion builds on earlier leadership additions, including the appointment of Kevin Egan as Chief Revenue Officer. The company said the hires are aimed at strengthening coverage across enterprise sales, public sector, and solution engineering as customers modernise data infrastructure for AI workloads.
ClickHouse is positioning itself as a core data layer for AI-driven applications, particularly as enterprises adopt agentic systems that require high-speed, cost-efficient analytics. Lenta said organisations in APJ are rethinking architectures around performance and efficiency, where ClickHouse claims an advantage over traditional data warehouses.
The leadership push comes as the company reports strong growth. ClickHouse said it has crossed $250 million in annual run-rate revenue, more than tripling year-on-year, and surpassed 4,000 customers, including adding over 1,000 net new customers in a single quarter.
Enterprise adoption is also widening. Customers highlighted at its Open House 2026 conference include Visa, Cisco, Intuit, Shopify, DoorDash, Mercado Libre, Zoox, and Jump Trading.
The company said the latest hires are intended to support that scale, adding regional leadership and operational capacity as demand for real-time analytics and AI infrastructure accelerates.
