Coforge is expanding its engineering centre in Kraków, Poland, with plans to increase its workforce from more than 375 engineers to over 660 by 2027.
The centre opened in 2025 to support a single client engagement. It has since moved to a multi-client model serving customers across Europe and other global markets, with work spanning AI engineering, cloud, and modernisation.
The expansion comes as Indian IT companies continue to build delivery capabilities closer to European clients. Persistent’s acquisition of Nagarro is another recent example, expanding Persistent’s presence in Europe and adding to its digital engineering capabilities.
“Europe is an important growth market for Coforge, and our continued investment in Kraków reflects our long-term commitment to serving clients across the region,” John Speight, President and EU Geo Business Leader at Coforge, said in a statement.
Sunil Fernandes, Chief Operating Officer at Coforge, said the rapid scale-up of the Kraków centre reflected “two major market shifts: growing demand for AI-enabled engineering and the need for delivery models that combine proximity, specialised talent, and speed.”
He added that the centre had become an important growth engine for Coforge and its clients, with hybrid human and agent Mod Squads accelerating innovation and delivering measurable business outcomes for enterprises in Europe and beyond.
Coforge has added more than 20,000 sq ft of workspace at the facility to accommodate the planned increase in headcount.
The centre serves clients across travel, banking, logistics, retail, and enterprise services. The company said its location also provides access to engineering graduates and technology professionals in Kraków, allowing teams to work across European and UK time zones.
