Dell Technologies has announced the launch of five new solar community hubs across India in collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and implemented by the Learning Links Foundation, expanding its global initiative to bridge the digital divide and enhance employability through AI-enabled learning.
The new hubs will be established across Uttar Pradesh, Delhi-NCR, Karnataka, Telangana, and Maharashtra, bringing solar-powered digital infrastructure, AI-enabled learning tools, and structured skilling pathways to youth, women, and underserved communities.
Each hub is powered by renewable energy and equipped with laptops, interactive screens, internet connectivity, and AI-driven learning systems designed to deliver education and training in areas where traditional digital infrastructure remains limited.
The initiative goes beyond basic digital literacy, offering customised skilling modules aligned with emerging labour market demands and extending support to more than 50 vocational, higher education, and community institutions.
Speaking on the expansion, Manish Gupta, President and Managing Director, Dell Technologies India, said, “Dell Technologies is committed to India's vision of inclusive, technology-led growth. The Solar Community Hubs are proof of what becomes possible when government, industry, and communities unite around a shared mission. These five new hubs will prepare a new generation of learners and workers for the jobs of tomorrow right in their own communities.”
The initiative was flagged off by Jayant Chaudhary, Union Minister of State (I/C) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and Minister of State for Education, who highlighted the role of technology in expanding opportunities at the grassroots level.
“These hubs are more than digital spaces, they are centres of aspiration that combine clean energy, AI-enabled learning and industry-aligned skilling to prepare young people for emerging opportunities,” he said.
Since its launch in FY23, the Solar Community Hub programme has reached 18 districts across 14 states, directly impacting 2.67 million beneficiaries. Globally, Dell now operates 63 such hubs across 12 countries, reinforcing its focus on inclusive digital transformation.
The expansion reflects a broader push to integrate AI-enabled education, renewable energy infrastructure, and employability-focused training into community-level development models, aimed at preparing a future-ready workforce for emerging digital economy roles.
