Product engineering and digital transformation services company Experion Technologies inaugurated a 58,000 sq ft development centre at Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram, Keralam. The centre will house more than 700 engineers and serve as the company’s AI Centre of Excellence (AI CoE).
Renowned aerospace engineer and missile scientist Tessy Thomas, widely known as “The Missile Woman of India”, inaugurated the facility. She is known for her leadership roles in the Agni-IV and Agni-V missile programmes.
Experion said the centre will expand its global delivery capacity and AI engineering operations.
Experion also announced ARC, its AI-native product engineering operating model, and the Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) Academy. The company designed the academy to prepare engineers for customer-facing AI roles. The CoE will support product discovery, engineering, AI model integration, deployment, and optimisation for global customers.
“Customers leveraging ARC have already reported project timeline reductions of 15–30%,” said Binu Jacob, Co-founder and CEO of Experion Technologies, in a statement. He added that the company is scaling operations and investing in infrastructure to meet demand for AI-native product engineering.
The AI CoE will serve as the operational hub for Experion’s ARC framework. The model embeds AI across the software development lifecycle, from product discovery and design to deployment and continuous optimisation. Experion said the approach aims to help teams build production-ready software faster.
The centre will support projects across banking and financial services, automotive, retail, healthcare, and insurance. Its customers span markets including the US, UK, Australia, and Japan. The facility also includes AI innovation labs, embedded IoT labs, and rapid prototyping spaces. It also has collaborative engineering zones and learning facilities.
Jacob said the new AI CoE will support AI-led product engineering at scale. He added that the facility will create opportunities for engineers to work on product engineering challenges for global customers.
Experion’s FDE Academy will train engineers to work directly with customers on AI deployments. FDEs will identify business challenges, build AI solutions and deploy them into production. The academy will use AI labs, customer workshops, mentoring, hackathons, and live projects.
“AI is not replacing engineers; it is redefining engineering and helping businesses scale faster,” said Sreekumar Pillai, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Experion Technologies.
Pillai said the CoE and FDE Academy will immerse engineers in AI-led product engineering. The programme will also prepare them for deployment-ready roles that involve close collaboration with customers.
Experion has nearly 1,800 professionals across delivery centres and offices in India, the US, UK, and Australia. The company works across banking, healthcare, retail, automotive, logistics, and insurance.
