Sarvam AI has launched the Sarvam Startup Programme, an initiative designed to help early-stage companies develop AI-powered products using the company’s models and infrastructure.
In a series of posts on X, the generative AI startup said the programme aims to support developers building applications within India’s rapidly growing AI ecosystem.
“Today, we're launching the Sarvam Startup Program. AI is the era for builders. We want to compound that momentum by powering the startup ecosystem with high-quality models and tools so they can create with full agency,” the company wrote.
According to Sarvam AI, the programme will offer selected startups cloud credits, priority technical support, and production-ready infrastructure. The goal is to enable companies to focus on building and scaling their products without managing complex backend AI systems.
Participants will also gain access to Sarvam’s range of AI tools and application programming interfaces (APIs), including speech-to-text, text-to-speech, translation, chat completion, and document intelligence capabilities.
The platform supports more than 22 Indian languages in addition to English, reflecting the company’s emphasis on developing AI technologies suited to India’s linguistic diversity.
Startups accepted into the programme will receive direct support from Sarvam AI’s engineering team, including priority troubleshooting and guidance during development.
The company added that participating startups may also benefit from co-branded case studies and promotional support at launch, helping them gain greater visibility within the technology ecosystem.
Founded by engineers Vivek Raghavan and Pratyush Kumar, Sarvam AI has positioned itself as part of India’s push to develop sovereign generative AI infrastructure tailored to the country’s languages and digital ecosystem.
The company has been building foundational models and APIs designed for multilingual AI applications, particularly across Indian languages, where global AI systems often struggle with accuracy.
