Schreiber Foods has signed a multi-year partnership with Ascendion to deploy agentic AI across its global operations and software development, as the food manufacturer looks to automate technology workflows, improve operational efficiency and support future growth.

The partnership will see Ascendion deploy its proprietary AAVA agentic AI platform across Schreiber’s global capability centres, which support more than 10,000 employee-partners and operations spanning over 40 locations across five continents.

The companies said AI agents will be used to improve decision-making in food safety and quality, modernise enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, strengthen collaboration across regions and automate repetitive technology tasks.

“To fuel Schreiber’s next era of rapid growth, we are taking a bold, transformational leap forward in how we operate and serve our customers,” said Trevor Farrell, President of Schreiber Foods.

“By leaning into next-generation, agentic AI with Ascendion, we are reinforcing the very foundation of what our customers rely on us for: world-class quality, safety, and service. This technology will empower our employee-partners, accelerate our innovation, and allow us to deliver even greater impact at scale.”

Schreiber supplies food and beverage products to retailers, restaurants, distributors and food manufacturers in more than 95 countries.

According to the companies, AI agents will help surface food safety and quality signals faster, support ERP modernisation and provide regional teams with a unified way to collaborate. Over time, repetitive technology work will increasingly be handled by AI agents, allowing engineers and analysts to focus on work requiring human judgement.

Ascendion said it will use its Engineering to the Power of AI methodology to balance work between people and AI while maintaining security, privacy, compliance and governance requirements.

“Schreiber Foods’ mission is one of the most consequential out there. We are honoured to deploy technology that helps Schreiber bring food to people all over the world,” said Karthik Krishnamurthy, chief executive officer of Ascendion.

“Schreiber leaders recognise the impact that can be unlocked by AI-native operations across their global network. It’s a vision built on a foundation of success, and we're thrilled to bring the full power of AI to this partnership.”

Sri Kantamneni, executive vice president and chief information and digital officer at Schreiber Foods, said the collaboration would equip the company’s capability centres with AI-native tools while reducing manual processes.

“AI is a significant driver of transformation, but its real strength lies in how it empowers our people,” Kantamneni said. “By giving our employee-partners better, smarter tools to work with, we enable them to focus less on manual processes and more on driving customer success and accelerating our growth.”

Dharam Gurbani, Chief Growth Officer at Ascendion, said the partnership would focus on measurable business outcomes across Schreiber’s capability centres in the United States, Mexico, India, Spain and Poland.

“We’re accountable for outcomes, not effort,” Gurbani said. “What changes for Schreiber Foods’ plants, customers, and consumers is the only scorecard that matters.”
