US-based Synchrony has launched its largest global Experience Center and a reimagined Innovation Station at its Hyderabad campus. With this, it wants to strengthen its investment in India as a hub for technology, innovation and enterprise capabilities.
The consumer financing company said the new centre is a nearly 6,000-square-foot facility, making it the company’s third Experience Center worldwide, after two centres in the United States.
The Experience Center allows employees, customers and partners to explore Synchrony’s products, technologies and enterprise capabilities through interactive customer journeys, virtual reality demonstrations and business use cases. The Innovation Station will support prototype development, technology exploration, innovation challenges and hackathons, the company said.
Florin Arghirescu, EVP and Chief Technology Officer at Synchrony, said, “The India Experience Center and Innovation Station create an environment where our teams can collaborate across disciplines, explore emerging technologies and transform ideas into meaningful business outcomes.”
The new facilities will also reflect India’s expanding contribution to its global business across technology, operations, analytics, marketing, risk and credit functions. Teams in India develop capabilities including AI-powered productivity tools, cloud-native applications, cybersecurity solutions, analytics platforms and digital experiences that support customers and employees worldwide.
He added that India’s contributions across technology, AI and enterprise platforms continue to strengthen Synchrony’s global capabilities and that the investment reflects the company’s confidence in its India teams.
Rachana Bahadur, SVP and Country Head for India at Synchrony, said the facility was designed for the company’s more than 6,000 colleagues in the country. “It is a place where colleagues can better understand the customers we serve, see the impact of the work they do every day, and come together to learn, connect, collaborate and innovate.”
Synchrony said the Experience Center and Innovation Station will continue to introduce new customer experiences and technologies as its business evolves, serving as a platform for learning, collaboration and innovation.
