Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced it is expanding its partnership with Google Cloud to help enterprises move towards AI-native and autonomous operating models, as the IT services major sharpens its focus on agentic AI-led transformation.
The company said the collaboration will centre on deploying and managing autonomous and agentic AI systems that can make decisions across business and IT functions with limited human intervention, while maintaining governance, security and compliance, especially in regulated sectors.
As part of the expanded tie-up, TCS has rolled out a set of offerings to help enterprises transition from pilot-stage AI deployments to scaled, operational use cases. These include an agentic AI data accelerator designed to cut data transition cycles by up to 40% and create a cloud-native AI foundation at scale, as well as industry-focused blueprints for manufacturing environments that use vision AI and orchestration to enable semi-autonomous operations.
It has also introduced an AI-led security operations centre, called TCS AI SOC, built on Google’s security platform to strengthen cyber threat detection and response, indicating a growing emphasis among IT vendors on embedding AI into core enterprise infrastructure.
The move comes at a time when Indian IT services companies are facing slowing growth in traditional services and rising pressure from clients to deliver tangible outcomes from AI investments.
Executives from both companies said the partnership is aimed at accelerating enterprise-scale adoption of AI at scale.
“By combining Google Cloud’s AI infrastructure with TCS’ deep industry expertise and their 3,000+ specialised agents, we are empowering customers to move beyond pilots to fully autonomous, AI-native operating models,” Kevin Ichhpurani, President - Global Partner Ecosystem, Google Cloud, said in a statement on April 24.
As part of this expansion, TCS said it has embedded Google’s Gemini Enterprise models across its service portfolio and built more than 3,000 domain-specific AI agents that can integrate into client environments. These agents are designed to support industry-specific workflows and decision systems, reflecting a broader pivot in the IT services sector towards building reusable AI-led platforms.
"Cloud is a critical enabler for enterprise-scale AI, forming the foundation layer on which AI-native transformation is built. This next phase of our partnership will help enterprises move faster towards autonomous, AI-native operating models, combining the strengths of TCS and Google Cloud to deliver measurable impact,” said Gaurav Syal, Vice President and Head of AI, Cloud & Infrastructure Services, EMEA, TCS.
The company is also scaling its internal AI programme, tcsAI, to extend these capabilities to its workforce, signalling a parallel push to drive productivity gains internally while pitching similar transformations to clients.
In addition, TCS plans to expand its network of Gemini Experience Centres—physical hubs where clients can co-develop AI solutions—to over 10 globally by the end of 2026, up from seven currently.
