Wipro has acquired Singapore‑based IT services company Mindsprint for an enterprise value of around $375 million. The all‑cash transaction, which involves acquiring 100% stake in Mindsprint, is part of a broader eight‑year, $1 billion strategic agreement with its parent, Olam Group.
Olam Group, headquartered in Singapore and majority owned by Temasek Holdings, is a leading food and agri‑business with a market capitalisation exceeding $50 billion. Under the agreement, Wipro will partner with Olam in an end‑to‑end transformation programme, deploying consulting‑led and AI‑powered solutions to strengthen Olam’s core operations and sharpen its competitive edge.
Mindsprint, Olam’s IT services arm, has a global workforce of more than 3,200 employees across India, Singapore, the US, the UK, and the Middle East. The company reported consolidated revenue of $135 million in CY25, a 4% increase from the previous year. Its portfolio includes enterprise applications, data and analytics, digital platforms, and proprietary IP‑led solutions tailored to the food and agri‑business sector.
Sunny Verghese, Co‑founder and Group CEO of Olam Group, said in a statement, “Wipro’s scale, consulting‑led approach, innovation investments, and Wipro Intelligence position it well to advance Olam Group’s mission‑critical programmes and drive scalable outcomes.”
“Mindsprint’s deep expertise in the food and agri‑business industry, combined with Wipro’s global capabilities, creates powerful synergies for growth and end‑to‑end transformation across the value chain,” he added.
Srini Pallia, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Wipro Limited, noted that the acquisition hones Wipro’s farm‑to‑fork capabilities and scales the impact of Wipro Intelligence across the food and agri‑business industry. “By bringing Mindsprint’s deep domain expertise and IP‑led solutions, together with Wipro’s consulting‑led and AI‑powered capabilities, we aim to unlock growth opportunities, catalyse innovation, and drive market‑ready transformation for Olam Group and our global clients across the industry,” he said.
The acquisition is expected to close by June 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. Following completion, Mindsprint will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wipro.
Market reaction was swift: shares of Wipro rose as much as 3.2% on Monday, making it the top gainer on the Nifty IT index and the second‑biggest gainer on the benchmark Nifty 50. As of 11 am, its shares were trading at ₹197.73 apiece—1.45% higher than the previous close.
