Cloud-based integration and automation platform Workato has opened AI Collaboration Hub in Hyderabad to help customers and partners co-develop and deploy enterprise AI solutions. The company announced that Hyderabad will be home to its third such hub, after San Francisco and Singapore.
The facility is located at Aurobindo Orbit in HITEC City and is designed to bring customers, global system integrator partners, and Workato engineers together to build production-ready agentic AI workflows.
The hub houses an Enterprise AI Collaboration Centre where customers, partners, and developers can jointly design, test, and deploy AI solutions on their own enterprise systems. Workato said the initiative aims to shorten the time between AI development and production deployment by enabling teams to work directly with its engineers.
The launch comes as many enterprises struggle to move AI projects beyond the pilot stage. Workato cited McKinsey & Company, which found that nearly 80% of organisations report no tangible business impact from generative AI. The company said the challenge lies in integrating AI with legacy enterprise systems, regulated data, and multi-cloud infrastructure while maintaining governance.
Workato said it chose Hyderabad because of India’s growing role in enterprise AI engineering. The company pointed to the Stanford 2026 AI Index Report, which found that India is the world’s second-largest contributor to GitHub AI activity. Workato has expanded its India operations to more than 200 employees across Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai since entering the country in 2022.
“I grew up in Hyderabad, so opening this hub is personal, but why it matters to our customers is anything but sentimental,” said Vijay Tella, CEO and Co-founder of Workato. “The hard part of enterprise AI was never the model; it's making AI work within real companies, with their enterprise systems, data, and compliance realities."
He said that the hub would allow customers and partners to “build production-grade AI with us, in the same room, and walk out with something tangible.”
Persistent Systems said the collaboration hub would help organisations jointly design and accelerate production-ready AI solutions. Sameer Dixit, Corporate VP, Data, Integration and AI at Persistent Systems, said enterprise AI adoption requires integration, orchestration, and governance alongside AI models.
Tech Mahindra also backed the initiative. Gopikrishnan Konnanath, Global Head of Digital Enterprise Applications, said the hub would help customers move from ideas to deployed agentic workflows more quickly by allowing architects and Workato engineers to build solutions together in real customer environments.
