Modules

Seven key modules of this programme are -

• Module 1 will teach Business Value of Data Analytics, where students will be taught to build a data-driven culture in an organisation, form an organisational team for making use of data science and analytics and appreciate the emerging nature of competition and the role of business analytics. 

• Module 2 will teach Statistics for Data Science and cover topics such as applied probability and decision-making under uncertainty, data sampling and the art of inferring about the population from samples and regression techniques, and capturing relationships among variables of interest.

• Module 3 will focus on Descriptive Analytics, while module 4 will teach Experimentation and focus appreciation of analytical reasoning and empirical findings from data and challenges in data visualisation and data interpretation. 

• Module 5 will introduce Data Sources, while module 6 will teach Predictive Analytics. It will provide knowledge on important areas like business forecasting principles and issues, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in decision-making – the role of supervised and unsupervised learning and Time series analysis based decision-making. 

• The last module will teach Prescriptive Analytics and teach topics such as Decision analysis, the use of discrete optimisation concepts in decision-making, and game theory.

Eligibility

To pursue this course, one must be 

• Graduate (currently employed) with a minimum of ten years of work experience as of March 30, 2022, and have a minimum of 50% in Graduation/Post Graduation. 

There will be periodic evaluations built-in throughout the programme to gauge the students' performance. They may be in written tests, online exams, quizzes, projects or other objective/subjective assessments.

The course fee is INR 5,95,000 + GST.
