Bristol Myers Squibb’s Hyderabad centre has emerged as a strategic hub for AI, data, and engineering innovation, supporting global operations across research, drug development, manufacturing, and commercial functions. 

The GCC was previously led by Mohit Dhingra as MD, who has recently moved out. Currently, no new head has been announced.

The centre plays a key role in advancing the company’s AI-first strategy through initiatives spanning generative AI, intelligent agents, predictive analytics, cloud-native platforms, and enterprise data ecosystems. 

Unlike a traditional delivery centre, BMS says it operates under a ‘One BMS’ philosophy, with India-based teams fully integrated into global functions and entrusted with platform ownership, AI strategy, data engineering, and enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. 

Employees work across critical therapeutic areas including oncology, hematology, cardiovascular disease, immunoscience, and neuroscience, contributing directly to scientific and business outcomes.

The company places strong emphasis on career development and continuous learning through programmes such as ElevateU and its Manager Development Program, which covers all people managers.
