Cardinal Health India has transitioned from a traditional delivery centre into a strategic innovation hub with significant ownership of the company’s global technology and data initiatives. 

The GCC led by Nagaraj Bhat as MD (until July 28), employs over 800 professionals and plays a central role in Cardinal Health’s AI and data strategy, with more than 20% of its workforce comprising data scientists, machine learning engineers, data engineers, and analysts. 

The centre develops enterprise-scale AI platforms, data ingestion engines, predictive forecasting systems, dynamic pricing solutions, and GenAI-powered applications. The company reports low single-digit attrition, strong internal mobility, and a 95% employee engagement score. 

It claims its defining feature to be end-to-end ownership of critical platforms and business transformation programmes. Teams in India lead key global initiatives spanning customer service, warehouse management, clinical research, nuclear pharmaceuticals, and supply chain operations. 

One notable innovation is ‘Co-Pilot’, an internal GenAI chatbot that streamlines access to enterprise knowledge and reportedly saves over 2,000 productivity hours annually.
