Manish Gupta has positioned Dell Technologies India as a key contributor to the country’s AI and digital infrastructure ambitions. Over the past year, he has led the company’s efforts to build sovereign AI infrastructure, advance Dell’s AI India Blueprint, and support the development of one of India’s largest AI factories powered by NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs.

Gupta has also advocated for the idea of a ‘UPI of AI’, envisioning an open AI ecosystem that enables India not only to accelerate domestic AI adoption but also to build AI solutions for the world. His focus has been on strengthening India’s AI capabilities through infrastructure, partnerships, and local innovation.

According to Gupta, the defining shift in India’s AI journey is the transition from experimentation to production at scale. He believes that nations with ownership of their AI infrastructure will shape the next decade, making AI sovereignty and indigenous AI capabilities a strategic imperative for India’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
