AIM 100: India's Most Influential People Shaping AI in 2026
Manoj Paul
Managing Director, Equinix India

Manoj Paul has been strengthening India’s AI infrastructure by expanding Equinix’s network of AI-ready data centres. In the last 12 months, he has led the launch of the company’s fourth Mumbai facility, MB3, and its first AI-ready data centre in Chennai, CN1, helping enterprises deploy high-density AI workloads while supporting hybrid multicloud strategies.
During his leadership, Equinix has focused on building secure, interconnected digital infrastructure that enables organisations to meet India's growing requirements around data localisation, digital sovereignty, and AI scalability. These investments have reinforced India’s readiness to support production-grade AI deployments across industries.
Paul believes India’s AI ecosystem has moved beyond experimentation into large-scale deployment. In his view, long-term success will depend not only on access to AI models but also on resilient, AI-ready infrastructure capable of supporting sovereign AI, real-time inference, and data-intensive workloads.
