Shailendra Katyal has been driving Lenovo's AI strategy across devices, enterprise infrastructure, and sovereign AI initiatives in India. 

Over the past year, he has led the launch of Lenovo and Motorola's AI-powered portfolio across smartphones, tablets, and PCs, alongside the introduction of Qira, Lenovo's cross-device agentic AI platform designed to deliver personalised, context-aware experiences across devices. He has also established Lenovo's AI Centre of Excellence to accelerate enterprise AI adoption while expanding the company's AI infrastructure business for enterprises and sovereign cloud providers.

Under his leadership, Lenovo has strengthened its "Make in India" strategy by enabling the design and manufacturing of AI servers and intelligent devices for both domestic deployment and exports. The company has also expanded its role in providing AI-ready infrastructure for enterprises, cloud providers, and public sector organisations.

Katyal believes AI has entered a new phase where productivity and business outcomes have become the primary drivers of adoption. In his view, AI is imperative for enterprises seeking efficiency, competitiveness, and long-term growth.
