Microsoft has launched Purview, a comprehensive set of solutions to help organisations govern, protect, and manage their entire data estate. This solution will help organisations meet the challenges of today’s centralised data-rich workplace by combining former Azure Purview’s capabilities and Microsoft 365 Compliance portfolio, providing unified data governance and risk management for organisations.
Microsoft Purview brings data governance from Microsoft Data and AI and compliance and risk management from Microsoft Security. It is complemented by Identity and Access Management, Threat Protection, Cloud Security, Endpoint Management, Privacy Management capabilities, and creating a truly comprehensive approach to security.
Microsoft Priva
Microsoft Priva complements Purview’s data governance and compliance portfolio by acting as a separate privacy management solution that proactively identifies and helps protect against privacy risks. It provides visibility into organisations’ privacy postures, including associated privacy risks that arise from personal data transfers, overexposure, and hoarding. Priva’s policy-driven templates help customers in adhering to common privacy regulations and requirements.
In addition to Purview and Priva, Microsoft’s commitment to simplifying data governance, compliance, and privacy continues with new product previews, enhancements, classifiers, etc.
