M3GAN
M3GAN is a robotic doll that gets a mind of her own. The film will explore what happens when smart technology gets too self-aware.The story revolves around Gemma who works for a toy manufacturer and ends up taking on the role of guardian for Cady, her niece who has lost her parents. The toy and Cady hit it off, though things turn dark once M3GAN becomes increasingly possessive of Cady.
The film is releasing on January 6.
The Pod Generation
Directed by Sophie Barthes, The Pod Generation is an upcoming sci-fi romcom, set in the future where nature is fading into obscurity as AI is all the craze. The protagonists are a couple in New York, prepared to have a family using a new technology created by the tech giant, Pegasus.
The film is releasing on January 19.
The Wandering Earth 2
Director Frant Gwo has announced the sequel to his sci-fi hit The Wandering Earth, China’s third highest-grossing film. Fu Ruoqing, chairman of China Film Group, said that the challenge of shooting the sequel would spark a rising tide that will lift all boats, improving technical standards to benefit the film industry.
The concept of putting thrusters on planet Earth and moving it into a new star system for a chance at survival is one of epic proportions. If The Wandering Earth 2 keeps the same CGI quality as the first, it will be a memorable watch.
The film is releasing on January 22.
The Mothership
The upcoming sci-fi thriller adventure, written and directed by Matthew Charman, will follow Sara Morse, whose husband disappeared a year ago from their remote property. The Mothership shows Morse and her children on a quest to track him down, and uncover the truth after she finds a strange, extraterrestrial object below their house. Oscar-winner Halle Berry will take on the role of Sara Morse as the lead.
The film’s release date is yet to be announced.

65 is a sci-fi film that will centre on an astronaut who quickly learns that he is not alone after crash landing on a foreign planet, only to discover he has landed on prehistoric Earth — 65 million years in the past, to be exact. The writing-directing team of Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, best known for A Quiet Place, helm this thriller starring Adam Driver.
The film is releasing on March 17.
Running with Speed
A definitive documentary on the most popular way to play classic games like Mario, Zelda, etc competitively. The documentary tells the fascinating story of how the ingenious and most dedicated video game players compete globally to set the all time fastest records and how they started uniting to raise millions of dollars to fight cancer. Running With Speed will feature appearances from some of the fastest speed demons in gaming and narrated by the popular YouTuber Summoning Salt.
The documentary is set to release on January 6.
