Happiest Minds Technologies has launched a proprietary agentic AI platform aimed at automating software development and modernisation projects, reflecting a wider push by IT services firms to embed autonomous AI agents into engineering workflows as enterprises seek productivity gains from generative AI.
The company introduced Rel(AI)Build, an enterprise-grade agentic platform that deploys specialised AI agents across different stages of the software development lifecycle.
The platform is built around what the company calls an Agentic Development Lifecycle (ADLC), a framework designed to coordinate AI agents while maintaining governance and human oversight.
The launch comes as IT services providers increasingly move beyond AI copilots and coding assistants towards agentic systems capable of executing multi-step software engineering tasks with limited human intervention.
According to Happiest Minds, early implementations of the platform have helped reduce application modernisation timelines by 40% to 60%, improve engineering productivity by up to three times and lower support costs by 30% to 50%.
“Software engineering is entering a new era where AI actively participates in the delivery process,” Sridhar Mantha, Chief Executive Officer, GenAI Business Services at Happiest Minds, said in a statement. “With Rel(AI)Build and our Agentic Development Lifecycle, we are enabling enterprises to accelerate innovation, improve agility, and achieve measurable business outcomes while maintaining governance and quality at scale.”
The platform is designed to work with existing enterprise development environments and supports initiatives such as application modernisation, platform engineering, quality engineering, data engineering, infrastructure management and cybersecurity operations.
The move highlights how IT services companies are increasingly building proprietary AI platforms and frameworks instead of relying solely on third-party models.
For Happiest Minds, which has positioned itself as an AI-first digital engineering company, the launch forms part of a broader effort to expand its generative AI-led services portfolio and capture growing enterprise spending on AI-enabled transformation projects.
