Bengaluru-based agricultural robotics company Niqo Robotics has been chosen to participate in Bharat Innovates 2026, the Indian government’s deep-tech conclave held in Nice, France, from June 14–16. The company is the only precision-AI farm robotics firm among the 120 participants selected from more than 2,000 applicants.
The event was inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron. Bharat Innovates is designed to provide Indian deep-tech companies with access to global markets, investors, and industry partners.
Niqo Robotics develops AI-powered weeding, thinning and precision spraying systems for agricultural use. Its products are currently deployed commercially in the United States and India. The company is now looking to expand into Europe and Australia.
At the heart of its product range is Niqo Sense, a proprietary AI camera platform that can be integrated with multiple machine types and retrofitted onto existing farm equipment. The system processes plant-level decisions in real time without cloud connectivity, and the company claims more than 99% accuracy in field conditions. It operates on a one-time purchase model with no subscription fees, and includes 24/7 service support and locally stocked spare parts.
Speaking about the selection, Founder and Chief Executive Jaisimha Rao said the participation is an opportunity to demonstrate that India can build Physical AI products that are “technically advanced, commercially ready and relevant for farmers anywhere in the world”. He added that the company is seeking strategic investors and partners to help scale into European, Australian and other international agricultural markets.
Niqo describes its core AI-enabled weeding business as approaching self-sustainability, which the company attributes to repeat commercial demand and a focus on unit economics over scale.
France was chosen as the entry point into Europe partly because of its established agricultural sector and its position within Europe's agritech ecosystem. The company cited rising labour costs, tightening restrictions on chemical herbicides, and growing demand for precision automation as factors making European markets relevant for its technology.
