AWS also announced the general availability of AWS IoT TwinMaker, AWS Amplify Studio and introduction of Amazon Textract Queries feature.
AWS IoT TwinMaker can use existing data from multiple sources, create virtual representations of any physical environment, and combine existing 3D models with real-world data. In a virtual media briefing, Olivier Klein, AWS chief technologist in Asia Pacific and Japan, discussed the Asia Pacific infrastructure and service developments including the latest in machine learning, IoT, and analytics from January to April this year.
Amazon has been investing in building low-code/ no code platforms. In December, AWS launched Amazon SageMaker Canvas at AWS re:Invent. “I think that there are two crucial components why we are seeing this trend. It simplifies the development effort which reduces the development time of applications. This helps to make more iterations and drive innovation. We have given capabilities to anyone to build their own applications even if they never have coding capabilities,”said Olivier Klein.
AWS also plans to launch 10 AWS Local Zones in Asia Pacific over the next two years in Australia (Brisbane and Perth), India (Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, and Kolkata), New Zealand (Auckland), the Philippines (Manilla), Thailand (Bangkok), and Vietnam (Hanoi).
