L Venkata Subramaniam has been working at the intersection of quantum computing and artificial intelligence, helping build India's emerging Quantum AI ecosystem. Over the past year, he has brought together startups, industry, academia, government, and investors to accelerate the commercialisation of quantum technologies through initiatives such as Amaravati Quantum Valley in Andhra Pradesh.

His efforts have focused on creating the ecosystem required for deeptech innovation by supporting startups, fostering research partnerships, and encouraging practical applications that combine quantum computing with AI. At Qbit Force, he has been busy building a complete superconducting quantum stack.

Subramaniam, who was the Head of IBM Quantum India, believes India's biggest opportunity lies in transitioning from a consumer of global deep technologies to a creator of indigenous infrastructure, AI models, and applications capable of addressing both national and global challenges.
