AIM 100: India's Most Influential People Shaping AI in 2026
Narayan Subramaniam
Co-founder & CEO, Ultraviolette Automotive

Over the past year, Narayan Subramaniam has accelerated Ultraviolette's transformation from an electric motorcycle startup into a deeptech mobility company with global ambitions.
Under his leadership, the company expanded beyond the F77 with the launch of new platforms, integrated AI-driven rider assistance and radar-based safety technologies, and showcased innovations such as Violette AI, X-47 Radar, and the UV Hypersense platform. Ultraviolette also expanded internationally while continuing to build proprietary battery systems, motors, controllers, software, and vehicle intelligence entirely in-house, reinforcing its philosophy of owning the technology stack.
Subramaniam has consistently argued that India's automotive startups should prioritise deep engineering over rapid scale. He has positioned Ultraviolette as a "Made in India, for the world" technology company, advocating long-term investment in proprietary innovation, AI-powered mobility, and globally competitive products instead of chasing short-term volume growth.
