Sharad Agarwal

Sharad Agarwal is the Chief Executive Officer of Sify Infinit Spaces Limited, the data centre subsidiary of Sify Technologies. With nearly 30 years of experience across technology, consulting, cloud, ecommerce, logistics, retail, and digital infrastructure, he has held leadership roles in India and internationally, including at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he was involved in regional expansion and infrastructure development.

Throughout his career, Agarwal has worked across multiple technology cycles, from software development and IT consulting to cloud computing and data centres. At AWS, he contributed to the growth of the Mumbai region and helped drive the development of the Hyderabad region. He has also been involved in policy discussions related to India’s data centre sector.

At Sify Infinit Spaces, Agarwal leads the company’s data centre business and expansion strategy. His focus has been on building a distributed footprint that includes hyperscale campuses, enterprise data centres, and edge facilities across India. As of March 2025, Sify had 14 operational data centres with a designed IT capacity of approximately 188 MW, along with 11 facilities under development. Current priorities include AI-ready infrastructure, renewable energy adoption, scalable capacity expansion, and workforce development.
