After SOTA models & datasets, Hugging Face has onboarded the developer of the popular AI computer vision library, Timm (Pytorch Image Models), to double down on computer vision research. “Furthering our mission toward a more open-source ML ecosystem, we are thrilled to welcome Timm and its developer Ross Wightman to the Hugging Face family,” said Clément Delangue, Hugging Face CEO & co-founder.
“With Timm and Transformers side by side, everyone will benefit from a more direct path from computer vision experimentation to stable, well-documented APIs,” said Ross Wightman. “Ross is one of the best computer vision developers in the world and we are thrilled to welcome him aboard. We also look forward to providing our community with cutting-edge computer vision models and supporting Timm’s continued growth,” said Clément.
Ross will continue working on Timm; both models and supporting resources. “Expect to see tighter integration with the Hugging Face ecosystem, especially the Hub,” Wightman said.
