The growing number of meetups and tech summits for data science, analytics and artificial intelligence in Bengaluru is indicative of the city’s thriving emerging tech community. With the technology evolving each day, avenues like meetups are used by a large number of techies to exchange ideas and gain new industry perspective.
Analytics India Magazine takes a look at 10 most popular meetup groups for AI and data science enthusiasts in Bengaluru and what they offer through their groups:
ReactJS Bangalore: This group is the go-to place for React JS enthusiasts who wish to know more about the react ecosystem. This group which has 7,939 members, holds React Meetups and React Native, its workshops on a regular basis at different locations within Bengaluru. In the past, the group has organised meetups and workshops on topics such as GraphQL, virtual reality, among other topics.
upcoming event: On March 30, React Native is hosting a workshop on building chatbots with React Native in HSR, Bengaluru from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Data Science India Meetup: This group is for anyone who is interested in data science, machine learning or deep learning and discusses recent research papers, novel tools and techniques, Kaggle competitions, or anything related to data science. Based in Bengaluru, it is a public group with 3,206 members ranging from students to industry practitioners who wish to promote the data science community in India. Recently, the group met at Google India to have a discussion on data augmentation for deep learning.

Upcoming event: The group is fairly active with numerous events lined up for its members in the coming days. The latest is a discussion on Support Vector Machine (SVMs) to be held on February 26, 2019, from 7:00 PM to 9:00
Big Data & AI Introduction: Is for big data and artificial intelligence enthusiasts and focuses on educating its participants about the latest development in the field. It has previously organised talks on AI job opportunities and has provided introductory lessons on numerous deep tech-related topics.
AIMinds: is a group where aspiring minds in artificial intelligence, data science and analytics meet to have great conversations and share knowledge. An initiative of Analytics India Magazine, the group has held India’s biggest event for machine learning developers, MLDS 2019 recently. It regularly hosts meetups and hackathons for the community.
Upcoming event: Data Science Connect, Bangalore a meet up exclusive for Data Science and Engineering leaders is a collaborative effort by AIM and Qubole. The event which is to be held on March 1 will be the right platform for data science enthusiasts to learn about various interesting topics related to the subjects
