For its Indian business, the Landmark Group has roped in Vikram Idnani as the President – Chief Information Officer (CIO). In his new role, Idnani will focus on technical innovation, enhancing customer experience, delivering quality products, and implementing technology initiatives. Landmark Group is a well-known retail and hospitality firm in the Middle East, India, and Africa. Based in Dubai, the multinational conglomerate is involved in retail of several product lines from electronics to apparel.
In his experience of over two decades, Idnani has improved the performance of e-commerce and retail businesses through technology and simplicity of operations.
Before getting appointed at Landmark Group, as the senior vice-president – head, information technology, he was responsible for technology initiatives for all retail businesses at Reliance. Previously, his stint in the US involved working with PepsiCo, Borders, Home Depot, and Kmart, among others.
Commenting on the new appointment, Idani said he was excited to take up the responsibility and aims to drive the company’s growth, increase agility in the supply chain, and implement new technology to enable the business to scale.
Idnani is a member of the technology committee of RAI (Retailers Association of India) and is on the core organising team of the RAI retail technology event ‘ReTechCon’. He is also a Chevening Scholar.
