JLL Business Services (JBS) inaugurated a 1,20,000 sq ft global capability centre (GCC) in Hyderabad, its second hub in India after Gurugram. Telangana IT and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu inaugurated the facility, which is located in the Prestige Sky Tech building in the city’s Financial District.
JBS said the centre will expand to 1,600 employees over the next two years and support its global operations across finance, HR, analytics, technology, project management and business process optimisation.
Matthew Rees, Chief Shared Service Centre Officer at JBS, said Hyderabad was a strategic choice for the company’s expansion.
“By establishing our GCC in one of India’s deepest talent markets, we are integrating exceptional people with standardised processes and AI-enabled workflows. This powers our commitments under the global strategy and strengthens the services we deliver to clients worldwide,” he said.
The company added that the new facility incorporates accessibility features, hybrid workspaces and wellness amenities. It said the centre is designed to support future growth while strengthening service delivery for global clients.
Speaking at the inauguration, Babu said Telangana had attracted nearly 150 GCCs over the past 20 months, creating more than 1.5 lakh technology jobs.
“At a time when AI, automation and global restructuring are reshaping the technology industry, our GCC strategy is designed to future-proof employment by creating the jobs of tomorrow,” he said. “Hyderabad continues to demonstrate that innovation-led GCCs are a powerful engine for investment, resilience and high-value job creation.”
According to JBS, the Hyderabad centre will function as its integrated capability centre, providing analytics, technology-enabled solutions and advisory services across multiple business functions. The company said JBS operates in six countries and employs more than 6,500 people globally.
Dheeraj Popli, Head of Global Service Centre for India at JBS, said Hyderabad’s talent pipeline, innovation ecosystem and sector diversity supported the company’s decision. The city also has its Accelerate 2030 strategy supporting such innovations.
The announcement comes as the city strengthens its position as a GCC destination, with gross leasing rising 10.5% year-on-year to 6.27 million sq ft in the first half of 2026 from 5.68 million sq ft a year earlier.
“Our office facility here is a strategic investment in a city redefining what global operations can achieve, providing JLL with the calibre of talent needed to deliver the sophisticated analytics and strategic advisory services that power our competitive advantage globally,” he said.
JBS said Hyderabad accounted for 16% of India’s GCC leasing activity between 2024 and mid-2026. GCCs also represented 42% of the city’s overall office leasing activity during the period. Financial services and insurance firms contributed 34.5% of GCC activity, followed by technology companies at 23.2%, healthcare and biotech firms at 17%, and engineering R&D operations at 12.1%.
