Over nearly three decades, Ford Business Solutions (FBS) India has transformed from a traditional shared services organisation into a strategic global capability centre with more than 12,000 employees across Chennai and Bengaluru. Gangapriya Chakraverti serves as the India Site Head and Managing Director for Ford Motor Company.

Today, it supports the entire automotive value chain, spanning enterprise IT, vehicle engineering, manufacturing, finance, supply chain, and customer experience. India teams play a central role in building global platforms, leading product development, and driving initiatives across connected vehicles, fintech, mobility, and cloud engineering, including Ford Credit’s digital transformation and the Technology Incubation Centre in Bengaluru.

Teams contribute to projects such as VesselAI for vehicle software engineering, AI-powered design tools that have reduced design cycles by nearly 40%, and QualityAI, which enables early detection of product issues. 

The company also uses AI to improve manufacturing efficiency, connected vehicle analytics, enterprise data platforms, and operational automation, supported by structured upskilling through its AI Advancement Centre.
