Salesforce, the leading AI CRM platform, has reported a staggering 50% surge in its revenue in India, climbing to ₹6,590 crore for the financial year 2022-23, up from ₹4,387 crore in the corresponding period last year. This significant uptick, as per data from the business information platform Tofler, illuminates the burgeoning demand across various sectors such as data, AI, services, and multi-cloud customers who rely on Salesforce for their business operations.

Arundhati Bhattacharya, CEO and Chairperson of Salesforce India attributed this robust demand to an increasing realization among Indian companies about the pivotal role of cloud adoption and digitization. Bhattacharya emphasized the imperative nature of cloud technology, particularly in lowering entry barriers and enabling businesses to leverage AI and robust data strategies.

“India is a key market for Salesforce. At the forefront of the AI revolution, we are brilliantly positioned to deepen India’s reputation as a global tech leader. Salesforce is committed to investing in the region, unlocking local opportunities and, in turn, helping to transform businesses globally,” she noted.

Salesforce’s growth trajectory in India is mirrored by its substantial workforce expansion, currently boasting 10,000 employees spread across key Indian cities like Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Gurugram, Pune, and Jaipur. The company is further bolstering its presence in Bengaluru with plans for office expansions and ongoing recruitment drives encompassing technology, product, sales, and customer success roles.

Notable strides in aiding Indian enterprises like TVS Motor, Asian Paints, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and Atomberg underscore Salesforce’s commitment to assisting businesses in formulating transformative digital strategies. The company’s interventions aim to enhance productivity, streamline operations, and reimagine customer interactions, aligning with the evolving expectations of consumers in today’s dynamic marketplace.

Moreover, Salesforce’s impact extends beyond corporate boundaries, as evidenced by its philanthropic initiatives. The company has allocated $1.1 million in grants to five prominent NGOs in India – Teach For India, TNS India Foundation, Youth for India Foundation, Malligavad Foundation, and Green Yatra. These grants, directed towards education, workforce development, climate justice, and community resilience, exemplify Salesforce’s dedication to fostering enduring societal change while contributing to India’s growth story.
