In a major leap forward for law enforcement technology, Staqu Technologies today launched Crime GPT, an advanced AI tool that allows police to rapidly access information on criminals from a massive digitised database. The new platform was unveiled in collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh Police as part of Staqu’s Trinetra 2.0 security initiative.
Crime GPT harnesses generative AI to deliver customised insights on over 900,000 criminals through written or voice prompts. By querying details like criminal histories, gang affiliations, and audio/video evidence, the tool aims to accelerate investigations and make communities safer.
The Crime GPT platform integrates Staqu’s AI capabilities with UP Police’s digitised records on 900,000 criminals. Key features include:
– Facial recognition
– Speaker identification
– Voice recognition
– Criminal network analysis
“Crime GPT aligns with our vision for a robust, tech-driven security infrastructure,” said Atul Rai, Staqu‘s CEO. “Partnering with UP Police allows us to empower law enforcement through tailored AI that can analyse any data – from CCTV footage to audio files.”
Uttar Pradesh DGP Prashant Kumar also hailed Crime GPT as a gamechanger, stating it will “help in faster retrieval of information” and “collate data across enforcement agencies” to expedite criminal cases.
The tool marks a new frontier in generative AI specifically designed for police use. As Staqu’s security collaborations expand nationwide, Crime GPT exemplifies how advanced technologies can revolutionise public safety and investigations.
