AIM Data Science Education Ranking 2020 | Top Full-Time PG Programmes In India

With this year’s ranking on the full-time post-graduate data science programmes, we have ranked the courses based on several parameters such as pedagogy, faculty profile and credentials, faculty to student ratio, gender diversity, graduation outcome, ROI, student review, among others. This year’s ranking takes into consideration several sub-parameters under each category to provide a holistic view of ranking outcomes.

The ranking is a result of extensive research, and internal discussions that followed after the inputs from participating institutes were collated. We reached out to several institutes offering PG courses in data science to nominate their Analytics / Data Science programmes and furnish information about them. The information received was then thoroughly studied, and follow-ups were made on any missing data and to validate any ambiguous information. Finally, the survey is processed to curate the detailed rank list.

While we have tried to perform random checks on the data submitted for authenticity, the ranking has primarily assumed that institutes have submitted correct & accurate information. This ranking only lists programmes that were nominated by their respective institutes/ colleges/ universities in the survey form and submitting the required information and data points for our evaluation. So you may find that the list may not feature many other programmes as we did not receive their nominations.

While this course by SCMHRD showcases good graduation outcomes along with placement assistance and external collaboration, it lags in parameters such as pedagogy faculty to student ratio and ROI. In terms of gender diversity and student reviews, this course is an average scorer.

7| M.Tech CSE With Specialisation in Data Science By The Northcap University

With one of the best pedagogy and graduation outcomes among all the PG courses listed here, it also showcases one of the best gender diversity. However, it lags in parameters such as faculty profile and credentials, faculty to student ratio and placement assistance. It also does not have external relations with any university and industry. However, it stands ahead of many other courses listed here, in ROI and brand value.

However, it lags in all other parameters such as faculty and student ratio, graduation outcome, external relations and placement assistance, among others.
