The Association of Data Scientists, the premier global professional body of data science and machine learning practitioners, has come up with yet another full-day workshop on Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) on the 28th of November, Saturday.
Over the last few years, the advancement of Generative Adversarial Networks or GANs and its immense potential have made its presence felt in many diverse applications — from generating realistic human faces to creating artistic paintings. As a matter of fact, with massive human imaginations, GANs are currently being used in applications like photo editing, face swapping, creating anime characters, as well as creating deepfake videos.
With such an increasing demand for professionals to have a hand on experience of the GANs technology, the Association of Data Scientists, in collaboration with Analytics India Magazine, is bringing an extensive full-day workshop which will allow the developers to learn and implement their own GANs from scratch.
The full-day workshop will cover topics such as introduction to GANs, its description, importance, how they work, and its real-world application. Further, it will also cover the theory of GANs, which will include generative algorithms, generators, discriminators, Wasserstein loss function etc. Along with these, attendees will also be able to learn building a vanilla GAN model, which will include an overview of CNN modules, defining generator and discriminator module, building the GAN model, challenges in GANs and it’s hyperparameters.
The workshop will come with a comprehensive learning dose of GANs where the participants will get hands-on exposure on building their own generative adversarial networks from scratch.
The detailed workshop also comes with a prerequisite of basic to moderate understanding Python programming language, basic knowledge of computer vision using deep learning, and familiarity with Google Colab and GPU environment. To further make the experience seamless, the participants must install Google Colab Notebooks to run the Python programs, along with TensorFlow, Pytorch and Keras. The participants are also expected to have a high-speed internet connection during this workshop to avoid any sort of lag.
By the end of the workshop, the candidates will be able to have a clear understanding of GANs from zero to one, its challenges and repercussions, and will get hands-on knowledge of implementing GANs for developing applications.
