Spinny, a pre-owned car retailing platform, has acquired AI-powered connected car startup, Scouto for an undisclosed amount.

“As part of the acquisition, Scouto’s founders will become an integral part of Spinny and help build and drive our connected car offerings forward. By augmenting each other’s capabilities, we can accelerate towards building the country’s largest and the most trusted used car brand,” Niraj Singh, Founder and CEO, Spinny said.

Scouto, founded by ex-race driver Akshya Gupta and Shubham Sharma, builds end-to-end connected car technology. The technology provides detailed intelligence on a car’s health and performance, and also connects the car’s owner to service providers such as FASTag and uplifts the overall experience of owning a car.

The company has built the entire technology in-house. Spinny is backed by Accel, Tiger Global and Elevation Capital and  wants to be the market leader in the AI-powered used car solutions segment.
